MO ver 5.0-b & MO ver 5.0-c (detail)

I first saw the work of Brendan Tang at a collective show at the Vancouver Art Gallery earlier this year. His Ming vases raise their skirts to show pop robotic figures underneath. The clash of cultures happens in his work in a fun and very contemporary way. Mentioned this week on BoingBoing and featured on Hi-Fructose this young artist is pretty much happening.
