Museum of Islamic Art by I.M. Pei

Qatar’s new Museum of Islamic Art, designed by the famous American architect I.M. Pei, opened to the public Monday. It’s Qatar’s chance to compete with Dubai and Abu Dhabi in the realm of arts and culture. Pei, 91, known mainly for his Louvre pyramid, had his design inspired by Islamic architectural history.
